This fresh take on the Old Fashioned adds a twist of herbal hippie and a dash of bougie sophistication to your summer evening cocktail. The Mab Tab replaces traditional bitters (though feel free to add them in too long if you like!), and additions of fresh cherry and chamomile make this an anything but ordinary whiskey cocktail.
~1 tsp Chamomile honey syrup (recipe below):honey_pot:
1/2 Mab Tab :cherry_blossom:

~1 tsp water
1.5 oz Rye whiskey :tumbler_glass:
(Optional- dash of bitters)
1 Orange twist :tangerine:
2 fresh Cherries :cherries:

Step 1: Muddle 1/2 a mab tab with a bar spoon of chamomile honey, one cherry, and a bar spoon of water in your cocktail glass (optional to add in dash of bitters). Pour in rye whiskey (mocktail whiskey alternative below). Stir until Mab Tab is completely dissolved.

Step 2: Add in 1 large or 3 small ice cubes. Stir until chilled and properly diluted (about 30-45 seconds).

Step 3: Garnish with a twist of orange and a cherry. For extra fun top with a fresh chamomile flower or two. Sip, savor, and enjoy!

For Mocktail:
Replace whiskey with 2 oz chilled chamomile tea brewed strong, or for added complexity 1 oz chamomile tea and 1 oz Ritual Zero Proof Whiskey Alternative (our new favorite non-alcoholic discovery).

Chamomile Infused Honey: Prepare chamomile infused honey by adding 2 tea bags of organic chamomile tea to 2 tablespoons honey and 2 tablespoons water to a small saucepan over low heat. Gently submerge teabags and allow to simmer for 3-5 minutes. Release retained syrup from the teabag by pressing against side of pan with the back of a spoon and discard (or make some sweet chamomile tea for later!).
