Introducing Mab Crush Monday — wildly alive human beings played on heavy rotation one Monday each month. Meet Allison, a Labor and Delivery Nurse at a San Francisco hospital.
What kind of work do you do?
I am a Labor and Delivery Nurse at a San Francisco hospital.
What’s your super power?
I have a knack for being resourceful and I’m a pro at multitasking. Being a nurse and a mom of two little ones helps me hone my super powers!
Seen or read anything inspirational recently?
Every day I am inspired by our emergency room healthcare workers – RNs, MDs, RTs, Nursing assistants and security. In the times of Covid-19 they are our frontline in the hospital, and really don’t get the recognition they deserve. I’m also in awe of the nurses with whom I am lucky to work. They’re all rock stars!
What’s awesome about today?
The sun is out, my kids are busy with a project I set up for them outside, and me and my family are healthy!
Why do you take Mab Tabs?
Having two preschoolers and being a nurse exposes me to every bug on the planet. I take mab tabs in order to be as on top of my game as possible. I need to be healthy in order to take good care of our mamas and babies – and not to mention to my very active little ones and my immune compromised husband.
Favorite drink to drop a Mab Tab in?
I drop my custom and immune mab tabs in my morning coffee. I love the way it tastes and it’s become a morning ritual/meditation and reminder to do things throughout the day that will keep me healthy.
